Welcome to Month by Month:

This blog is my own little version of organization central. We touch on just about every aspect of home, family, and holiday organization here. It is my hope that by blogging my experiences, I can grow as an individual and perhaps inspire others to try new things and think about everyday life a little differently. So please join us in organizing for life every month of the year!

Hippity Hoppity

Hippity Hoppity is a page about Easter. The first Sunday of every month is Hippity Hoppity ...a day for preparing for Easter and the Spring season. This page chronicals my adventures through the year with Hippity Hoppity Days, as well as, gathering information, stories, sites, crafts, and decor ideas for Spring! So hop by anytime and see what's new here at Hippity Hoppity

June 2010 Hippity Hoppity Day
At our house there's not a lot of Easter prep so I've taken to using Hippity Hoppity Day for more than just Easter. I've divide the year into "quarters". They mostly fit the "seasons" but not quite. I like to follow the calendar year....so January-March, April through June, July through September, and October through December. Hippity Hoppity Day deals with the quarter of April through June. Yes there are years where Easter falls in March but it still basically works because every Hippity Hoppity Day....I "touch base" with Easter prep AND deal with plans for the April through June.

June Hippity Hoppity Day is tomorrow. It's going to be a simple day.

I hate to say I have yet to update my notebook from the past Easter.....so that's going to be a quick look see to discard old papers and put in fresh.

Then I'm going to work on some recipes for the spring season. Mostly organizing and getting some into notebooks. I'm really cutting down on recipes clipped and printed. There's just no need for all the apper stuff. But I need to get Family Favorites organized.

Looks like that's it for Hippity Hoppity this month! Why don't you "hop along" with me and get some tiny things accomplished this month.

January 2009 Hippity Hoppity Day Notes
Well this was a VERY productive Hippity Hoppity Day. I found three bags full of goodies stuffed in the gift closet so the baskets are almost complete for Easter this year. I'll just need to pick up a couple of things and some candy and I'll be ready to go.

We are definately cutting down on "stuff" this year so I want to plan some Easter activities that will be fun and we can do the week or two before Easter and then on Easter Sunday. That way we will experience the joy of the holiday and not just get a bunch more clutter added to everyone's rooms! I thought a Spring visit somewhere if the weather allows might be nice but I'm still searching for ideas.

Also I filled in Basket Lists in my notebook and looked over the Easter Countdown. Eventually I'd like to add my list of Easter movies and books to the notebook but that did not get accomplished yet!

Well that's it until next month...see you for February Hippity Hoppity Day...if i find some activity ideas...I'll post them before then!! Take Care and Hop to It!!!

May 2008 Hippity Hoppity Day
May Hippity Hoppity is just around the corner. Sunday May 4th. Here's my list for the day:
  • Buy some addtional storage boxes
  • Sort decor and label better
  • Work on Easter Notebook
  • Work on Spring/Summer Notebook
Those four should keep me more than busy this month. My Easter Notebook looks pretty good so just a little tweaking there. Sometimes I like to just get a notebook off the shelf and look at it otherwise it is too easy to forget some notations etc. I am dividing my Four Seasons notebook into two: one will have Spring/Summer and the other Fall/Winter so I will need to do a bit more on that project.

First Hippity Hoppity Day (April 2008)
This Sunday April 6th will be the first official Hippity Hoppity Day. The first Sunday of each month will be the time to focus on Easter and Easter prep. I am just starting this so I will start out slow.

Put away all Easter decor
Review my Easter Notebook (I'll try to take some pictures of it to share later on)
Update my blog here!!!
