One of my goals for 2008 is to make sure that I live and do things in ways that motivate myself and others. In today's world it is easy to slip in to negativity and to use sarcastic remarks and "funny" put downs. Whether we want to believe it or not those have a corrosive effect both on us and on others that we come in contact with. It is a hard habit to break, especially working in a middle school. I do believe however that the quality of my life is greatly enhanced on those days when I can bite my tongue, focus on the positives in life, and look for the positives in others.
So today there is ice falling from the sky, the air is frigid, and I woke from a warm sound sleep at 5:00 to take the call that school is cancelled. I could be moaning the fact that this extends our year even further into the summer but instead I chose to accept that Mother Nature can not be controlled. I will look for ways to savor the day, get some work accomplished along the way, and consider myself blessed by the fact that I am inside a small cozy house on this day rather than homeless as countless others are. And who knows maybe I'll even have a few spare minutes to hop back on here and put up a few more goodies!! Hope you are enjoying Month by Month!
Welcome to Month by Month:
This blog is my own little version of organization central. We touch on just about every aspect of home, family, and holiday organization here. It is my hope that by blogging my experiences, I can grow as an individual and perhaps inspire others to try new things and think about everyday life a little differently. So please join us in organizing for life every month of the year!
