Over the summer months in 2007, a group of friends and I had what we called "Margarita Thursday". It was a weekly Happy Hour at a local Mexican restaraunt. What fun we had, talking and laughing. It was a bit of carefree fun and quickly became a ritual. Then reality....and school started. As I work in a school most of my friends do also. We plan to continue Margarita Thursday in the summer of 2008.
We also have been working as a group to host a monthly game night. We take turns hosting it and play either boards games, cards, or some of the newer DVD games. Sometimes we pick a "theme" like the Chinese New Years or sometimes it's just a genral gathering. In the spring and summer we move it outside to the patio and use yard games like washers, horseshoes, or hillbilly golf.
Friends are an essential part of our lives and nurturing them is crucial. In a hectic busy world seeking out ways to keep in touch and feel connected is important. Whether its sending an email, mailing a card, or getting together for a couple hours on a regular basis find ways to celebrate the Art of Friendship.

That sounds like so much fun Ginger! We used to have a game night when we lived in Texas with a couple we knew. I wish I could have something like that here. Margarita Thursdays sound yummy!
